Enjoy a journey into space with Country Estates

Most journeys into space head off boldly into the unknown, but with business park specialist Country Estates such journeys lead to some very pleasant destinations and surroundings.

The majority of Country Estates 15 business parks throughout the south of England are in rural, out of town settings, as highlighted by those in the West Berkshire region – Kingfisher Court near the Kennet & Avon Canal at Newbury; New Kingsclere Park and Kingsclere Barns; and the company’s largest (and arguably leafiest) site at Calleva Park near Aldermaston.

Certainly, geographic location and a relaxed rural environment were two crucial factors for Hemmersbach, a specialist provider of cross-border services in IT and telecommunications, which moved its UK head office to Calleva Park last month, (June).

“We had been looking to move from our offices in Bracknell since last summer, and wanted to locate within the Thames Valley region. We looked at many sites but Calleva Park provided the right location and environment and Country Estates offered a value for money deal that was not achievable elsewhere,” said UK managing director Gary Willingale.

Hemmersbach had previously undertaken a managed office arrangement.  “Our lease here at Calleva allows us to have far more freedom to develop our premises and grow as a company.  This flexibility is a major advantage for us.”

As a company that has assisted in major infrastructure installation work for several blue-chip companies, Hemmersbach project managed its own relocation. “The transition from Bracknell to Calleva Park was seamless, given the level of support to my team and flexibility for our required timelines by Country Estates,” said Claire Rogers – Hemmersbach’s UK&I Country Manager.

Hemmersbach has taken a three year lease with Country Estates on a two-storey 2,500 sq ft business unit at Calleva Park.

Memory-Map (Evo Distribution Ltd), another company already located at Calleva Park, has literally been on that ‘journey into space’ in recent years.  Many of the business units on the park are named after planets, and Memory-Map has travelled from Comet to Mercury to Mars units to meet its requirements for extra operating space – rather fitting for this vibrant company successfully selling Memory-Map navigation software and products that rely on the planetary focus of GPS technology.

Dave Evans, PR & marketing manager for Memory-Map, said: “Establishing the right location is what our business is all about, and it’s fair to say that we did just that when we moved to Calleva Park more than eight years ago. It’s proved to be a great place for us to work and grow as a business.”

With many post-recession companies considering revised space requirements, Country Estates is guaranteeing that there won’t be any rockets or asteroids on its ‘journeys into space’ and the only stars will be the four-star service offered by its sales and management team.

Sue Lamarque, sales executive for Country Estates, explains: “As a company dedicated to the development of business parks we deal with hundreds of tenants and property owners. This gives us an invaluable understanding of the range of issues that can arise when moving, and, of course their potential solutions.”

“We are very aware of the anxieties and disruption that moving premises can cause to companies but our knowledge and expertise in this area helps ensure that the relocation experience will be as pleasant and uncomplicated as possible.”

“We aim to treat each of our clients individually, according to their needs, and as a dedicated business parks operator with a hands-on senior management philosophy we are able to make quick decisions when required.”

“This individual approach is important to us. Setting up a new home, whether personally or as a business, is always an emotional experience for those involved and we are sensitive to that.”

“So, we are happy to discuss arrangements and advise new incoming occupiers on any queries, whether it is a proposed change to internal layout, or simply providing the name of a good local newsagent.”
