Letting revival in the South

Business park specialist Country Estates is reporting a New Year lettings revival in the south with an emphasis on smart new premises.

“People are coming back to the market, having held back during the downturn, and are now taking decisive action to secure their post-recessionary future,”says Graham Denton, joint managing director of Country Estates, which owns properties at 15 business parks throughout southern England.

Interestingly, customers who may have been forced to restructure are now not only picking out the best business deals and opportunities, but also seeking the type of properties that can help kick-start their recovery.

“Companies are looking for premises to suit their fresh ongoing requirements, but many are also taking the opportunity to upgrade and improve their corporate image through higher standard working premises,” explains Graham Denton.

Charles Miller, partner at Bucks commercial property consultants Duncan, Bailey Kennedy added:“It’s one of the reasons that Country Estates has recently refurbished a two-storey 1,903 sq.ft. (176 sq.m) unit currently offered for letting at Lancaster Court on Cressex Business Park.”

While the recession may have influenced market demand, the old sales adage of ‘Location! Location! Location!’ remains consistent, says Country Estates. Good news for Cressex Business Park, conveniently sited barely half a mile from the southern motorway links of Junction 4 of the M40 and just south of High Wycombe town centre.
