At the end of 2015, Country Estates Group celebrated its 50th anniversary. The business, which includes Denton & Gibson and Darcliffe Homes, has grown from a business with five employees and a share capital of £2,000, to a company with net assets in excess of £20 million!

Country Estates Group this month celebrates its 50th anniversary. The business, based in Reading has had a hugely successful 50 years, with two of the original staff, Bill Phelps and Gary Smith, still on the Board today.

On Sunday 4th October, Gary Smith and Graham Denton, Joint Managing Directors of Country Estates Group (incorporating Darcliffe Homes) attended an event to dedicate and bless a memorial to Trooper Fred Potts VC and Trooper Arthur Andrews, who were both wounded in Gallipoli in August 1915.

Country Estates Group has appointed Matthew Jeal as Director of both its residential division, Darcliffe Homes Ltd, and commercial division, Country Estates Ltd, where he will oversee all land and planning activities to help drive the ongoing expansion of the business in the Thames Valley region.
